Class 1 of the Regulate series — a foundation for everything that follows. Here we learn why regulation is biological first, mindset second.

We’ll cover:

• The roles of the brainstem, limbic system, and prefrontal cortex

• Polyvagal theory and nervous system states (fight, flight, freeze, fawn, etc.)

• How trauma and chronic stress wire us for survival

• What real regulation means: appropriate response, not no response

• The three pillars of nervous system health: capacity, resilience, and flexibility

You’ll practice noticing sensations, naming your state, and feeding your system cues of safety.

This class helps you reduce shame, trust your body’s wisdom, and begin rebuilding safety from the inside out.

If you feel overwhelmed, short-tempered, resentful, or frustrated - chances are your body is communicating some level of unsafety. You can use 5 different types of safety to resource yourself to take on parenting and life challenges. 

This workshop teaches through a journal with exercises for processing difficult and overwhelming emotions. Now you'll know what to DO to FEEL the things your body needs to feel.

Understanding Attachment Theory is wildly helpful in constructing self-soothing and self-challenging approaches to growth and change so you can create healthier strategies for thriving relationships.
